The fastest and easiest way you can take action is to make a contribution to the campaign. Right now, we do not have any paid staff, just a group of very dedicated volunteers (you are welcome to join us), and we’ll ensure that every dollar raised will be stretched to the limit.
Make a contribution today:
District Two voters, we asked and you answered. Your response to an ad on Craigslist was astonishing, inspiring. Many of you sent us your resumes, statements of your enthusiasm and fire to serve and truly represent the people of Utah by running for the Democratic nomination for the US House of Representatives. Now, as a result of YOUR votes in a public “job interview” on January 30th, we offer you YOUR Citizens’ Candidate: Claudia Wright.
Let’s elect a representative who actually represents the citizens of Utah. Corporate interests have taken over our political system and squeezed the voice of the people out of the political process. Supporting Claudia Wright’s campaign is a way to reclaim our voice, to demand a representative who truly works for us—someone who will answer a help-wanted ad and who pledges to remember who employs her.
So here’s your chance. We’re entirely funded by YOU, Concerned Citizens. We simply cannot do this without your help! Our small, but very dedicated staff will ensure that even small contributions go a long way.

I wat a voice in Washington. I tried repeatedly to meet with Rep. Matheson about health care reform, but was denied access. I’m tired of his lack of response to his constituents.
Claudia Wright would be an excellent representative for the people of Utah. I would love to see the people of Utah replace Matheson who seems more interested in meeting with and voting on behalf of corporations with a citizens' candidate who will rise to the office on the grassroots efforts of the people. Put our voices back in Washington by supporting a citizens' candidate. Government by the People for the People….
I would rather vote for a republican than vote for a democrat in name only. Jim Matheson has been non responsive on every issue important to democrats in the state of utah. He pretends to be a democrat but always votes with republicans. On health care he has been astonishly inept. With Claudia, Democrats that believe in health reform and civil rights have a choice. I will vote for Claudia whether she is on the ballot or not. I hope that democrats will vote for her also
I will be attending my caucus meeting tomorrow and am determined to be a delegate so I can vote for you at the convention. I'm so glad you're here to challenge Matheson.
Matheson is bought and paid for by the corporations, industries, and their PACs whose contributions overwhelmingly dominate his campaign funding. For example in the 2009-2010 campaign cycle he has received over $241,000 from the health industry sector which is more than double what he received from the next highest contributing sector and makes up about one-third of his total contributions in this campaign cycle. The next highest contributor was the energy sector. So, of coarse, he voted against Health Care reform and the Clean Energy and Security bill and will vote against finance reform, his third highest industry contributor industry (together all 3 make up 60%). If you are skeptical about this go to the Matheson information pages at:http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/industries... , which tracks campaign contributes for all national candidates. If you think corporations shell out large campaign contributions out of altruism than you are still a child or you have a disability and can definitely benefit from health care reform.
I was thrilled to contribute to your campaign, today. To paraphrase most of your supporters’ posted feedback: Finally!!
One democrat to another, thank you!
